My Story
Jessie Gutknecht is the founder and principal designer of White Pine Interiors & Co. She started in early 2024 following close to a decade of designing residences and specializing in cabinetry for a northern MN showroom. Prior to that she worked for a cabinet company designing in their custom cabinet line and working in a luxury home showroom. She has a bachelor of art degree in fine art and interior design from North Dakota State University and 12+ years of experience as a designer. Her training, lifestyle and passion for exceptional details all inform her work.
It could be said, however, that her initial design pursuits began with her childhood in New Ulm alongside 2 older sisters. Growing up in a household full of girls meant her room and belongings were fair game for their shenanigans. Personal environment became important to her at an early age and sparked an interest in interior design. While in grammar school, she overhauled her bedroom on countless occasions. Trying to come up with the perfect space layout, was no easy task. It was no surprise that she was drawn to the interior design industry.
Jessie's training, midwestern roots, and fashion-forward sensibility contribute to an eclectic, organic and modern aesthetic that attracts clients and insiders alike. That paired with a thoughtful and engaging approach have garnered her projects throughout northern MN.

Jessie’s ongoing inspirations, ideas, and behind-the-scenes experiences can be found on instagram and Facebook. When not engaging in all things White Pine Interiors & Co., she can be found working on her CKBD (Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer) through the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Creating craft projects, painting or rock hunting with her two rambunctious boys August and Hughie or going on a hot date with her husband, because just like design, life is better when it’s eclectic.
We are comprehensive in our approach, detailed and highly creative. Our tools of the trade include 20/20 CAD, spreadsheets & slide presentations and an extensive library of materials. On the more glamorous side, our understanding of art, craftsmanship, and antiques brings a sense of heart & soul to our work.
